Tasks

The Senior Procurement Manager will lead the sourcing and procurement of solar panel and wind turbine for utility-scale projects. This role involves designing and executing procurement strategies, building strong supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring on-time delivery of high-quality equipment to support the company’s renewable pipeline. -Ensure effective contract negotiation to meet objectives related to safety, cost, delivery performance, schedule and quality. -Support project management teams through all stages of development. -Develop supplier strategy for owner procured equipment, in particular, panel and wind turbine suppliers -Stay current on technology trends and government policies, adjusting procurement strategies as needed. -Design and execute competitive RFP processes. -Analyze cost proposals, track variances, and create standardized cost reports. -Develop strategy to run competitive RFP processes -Develop and execute multi-year commodity procurement strategies to support a 1GW/year solar, wind, and storage pipeline. -Collaborate with internal technical teams and suppliers to continually reduce LCOE ($/W). -Support and facilitate internal team resolution on material changes to agreements across both commercial and technical issues. -Negotiate agreements covering scope, pricing, terms & conditions, delivery, and change management. -Resolve cross-functional commercial and technical issues. -Ensure timely and frequent engagement with development, legal, engineering, construction, operations and maintenance, and asset management on all issues related to equipment supply. -Ensure that risks are mitigated through alignment across major project agreements (EPC agreement, Equipment supply, PPA, Warranty, etc.) -Apply contracting abilities, editing of work scope, understanding of commercial terms and conditions, and accurate monitoring of commercial changes from award to delivery. -Develop a multi-year commodity procurement strategy to support a 1GW/year solar, wind and energy storage pipeline -Develop and maintain supplier scorecards to evaluate and prioritize vendors. -Identify and mitigate risks within the renewable equipment supply chain. -Incorporate market intelligence and vendor inputs into procurement and contracting strategies -Actively collaborate with internal technical teams and suppliers to continually drive down LCOE (Levelized Cost of Electricity) ($/W) -Support Project Management teams during early and late stage project development -Effectively support the negotiation of agreements for items related to scope, price, terms & conditions, delivery, and contract changes with suppliers -Develop and maintain internal score card to rate and prioritize suppliers -Leverage market intelligence and vendor input to shape procurement and contracting approaches. -Remain informed of latest technology trends and the government policies in the market and understand the implications of the procurement strategy and adjust accordingly -Draft and review work scopes, apply commercial terms, and track contract changes from award to delivery. -Align procurement with other key agreements (EPC, supply, PPA, warranty, etc.) to minimize risk. -Review cost proposals and actual cost reports from projects to establish standard summary data cost reports and variance analyses. Track and report on cost movement during negotiations. -Engage regularly with development, legal, engineering, construction, O&M, and asset management teams. -Ensure contract negotiations achieve goals around safety, cost, quality, delivery, and schedule. -Build supplier strategies for owner-procured equipment, including solar panel and wind turbine suppliers. -Monitor risks associated with renewable equipment supply chain and procurement and develop mitigation strategies.

What You Bring

We will consider remote candidates with in the US for this position. -Proven project management skills with large-scale solar, wind, or storage projects. -Highly detail-oriented with a track record of delivering accurate results. -Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and cost-analysis skills. -Knowledge of utility-scale solar, wind, and energy storage markets (a plus). -Strong negotiation experience with large, complex contracts. -Ability to drive cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders toward positive outcomes. -Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Business (preferred). -Excellent written and verbal communication; able to convey complex concepts concisely. -5+ years in strategic sourcing, commodity management, and contract negotiations, with direct experience in solar and wind procurement.
