The Role
Overview
Assist skilled millwrights with laying out, installing, aligning, and testing machinery.

Tasks
-May be required to use ladders/mechanical platforms/manlifts/scaffold to access -Work irregular hours, weekends, overtime and holidays as required -Assist with the assembly and installation of equipment; aligning machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, micrometers and plumb bobs; assembling machines and attaching them to foundations or other structures according to project specifications. -Assist skilled craftsman when they torque equipment and machinery; properly rig equipment and machinery and direct crane operators on placement of same. Test all installed machinery and equipment and make all necessary adjustments and/or repairs, if any. -Observe and comply with all safety and project rules, perform other duties as required -Assist with dismantling machines using hammers, wrenches, crowbars and other hand tools; moving machinery and equipment using hoist, dollies, rollers and trucks; -Assist with reviewing and verifying inventory of equipment/machine components; checking accuracy of line and grade of existing foundation; prepare foundation for grouting and/or machinery placement; establishing and use centerlines and bench marks; establishing proper elevation of subsole and sole plates; set and aligning machine components; mix and place all types of grout;

What You Bring
-May be required/able to move items weighing up to 50 pounds across -Ability to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing -Knowledge of the safe and efficient use of hand tools, power tools and layout tools. -May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area. -Move and work in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven surfaces -Learn to use hand and power tools to properly measure, cut, assemble and align machinery and install all other items -Must be able to complete tasks in a noisy and dusty environment -Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision -Field experience in chosen craft discipline -Must possess knowledge skills and abilities for position -May require U.S. Driver License
