Handles union payroll data, employee records, and supports weekly payroll processing.

Tasks

-Provide support to payroll team as needed during weekly processing and monthly union remittances. -Verify union I-9 forms have been completed according to government regulations and documented in the ERP system. Follow up with field management staff on any errors or inconsistencies. -Create union employee records in ERP system. Ensure demographics, union details, and project assignment data is correct and complete. -Complies with all policies and standards. -Review field time entry reports for potential errors in hours, union, pay class, and per diem. Follow up with site teams and address as appropriate prior to payroll processing. -Coordinate with field management staff to collect, review, and save union new hire paperwork. Ensure information is complete and accurate, following up on any issues or missing information. -Respond to and resolve union employee payroll inquiries. -Update employee records as needed including personal data, withholdings, assignment transfers, and severance or termination information. Request missing severance notices for union employees no longer employed by AZCO to ensure ERP employee list is accurate. -Submit new hire reports to state agencies.

What You Bring

-Actively involved in campus, community or other volunteer activities or organizations. -Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred. -Ability to use Excel to manipulate and analyze data. -High School Diploma/GED and 1 year of accounting and/or payroll experience required or -Pursuit of associate or bachelor's degree in a relevant field required. -Self-motivated and eager learner, aptitude to grow and develop within the field. -Demonstrated leadership skills. -Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without requiring future sponsorship for employment visa status. -Excellent verbal and written communication skills. -Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred. -Strong problem solving and analytical skills. -Basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office programs, including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
