Tasks

-Mentor and train field staff -Supervise field crews for utility designating and utility test hole projects -Provide accurate documentation and or sketches related to all locates completed -Perform quality control checks of field work for utility designating and test holes -Operate different electronic detection equipment, to locate and mark under-ground facilities within prescribed accuracy limits. -Read and interpret utility maps and engineering plans to identify and mark underground utility locations

What You Bring

-Ability to read and understand directional maps, topographic maps and various types of utility prints -Physical demands include extensive walking and bending. The employee must have the ability to open manhole covers and or other structure of varying weights -Ability to multi-task, i.e. make research calls for one project while commuting to another project, coordinate with crew members on various jobs -10+ years experience locating utilities -Ability to use and interpret various pieces of electromagnetic utility locating equipment -Experienced in set-up of traffic control for utility test holes -Experienced performing ASCE 38-22 Quality Level A Utility Test Holes and Quality Level B utility designating -Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather and all types of field conditions
