Tasks

-Manage all testing, commissioning, and documentation for mechanical systems handover. -Work closely with project, electrical, and commissioning teams to ensure seamless integration across all disciplines. -Manage installation of chilled water, HVAC, plumbing, fuel systems, fire protection, and associated plant and equipment. -Drive technical excellence, value engineering, and buildability improvements within the mechanical scope. -Monitor and report progress, risks, and quality metrics to the Project Manager and senior leadership team. -Promote and enforce a proactive health, safety, and environmental culture across all site activities. -Lead and manage all mechanical construction activities on-site, ensuring delivery to programme, cost, and quality targets. -Oversee and coordinate mechanical subcontractors, ensuring full compliance with design, specification, and HSE standards.

What You Bring

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager to join a leading main contractor delivering a major mission-critical data centre and industrial build project in Leeds. -Qualified to HNC/HND or equivalent in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering. -Demonstrated success managing multiple mechanical subcontractors on complex builds. -Strong understanding of HVAC, piping, fuel, and process systems, along with critical infrastructure resilience. -Excellent leadership, communication, and client-facing skills with a commitment to technical excellence. -SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications required; confined space or pressure systems training advantageous. -Comprehensive knowledge of CIBSE, ASHRAE, and relevant mechanical engineering standards. -Proven experience as a Mechanical Construction Manager on large-scale mission-critical, data centre, or advanced industrial projects.
