Overview

Install, maintain, troubleshoot aeroderivative gas turbines on global customer sites.

Tasks

-In this role, you will travel to and work on customer sites in line with customer requirements. The duration of the work at site and the hours of work at the site will be in line with customer requirements. In between work assignments, you will have free time in line with Baker Hughes working time guidelines and fatigue management provisions. -Executing hands-on job duties on site, including sub-contractor coordination and customer/internal communication -Troubleshooting complicated mechanical and hydraulic problems on variable pitch/ variable speed turbines -Overseeing, overhaul, troubleshooting and commissioning of Aeroderivative products at customer sites. -Ensuring internal training, compliance and quality documentation is updated, followed, and completed according to company standards. -Leading in customer and contractor meetings to share and update action plans and to advise on technical solutions. -Performing all mechanical and hydraulic maintenance, repair or replacement of parts as directed -Providing technical direction for site activities to internal teams and skilled labor to ensure safety, compliance, and quality. -Using hand tools and small power tools to conduct general maintenance of Aeroderivative Gas Turbines -Ensuring all in-field activities carried out safely complying with company environmental health & Safety (EHS) guidelines and procedures

What You Bring

-Have a technical degree/program and 4+ years of work as a mechanical technician on aircraft engines, aero-derivative engines or other types of gas turbine technology. -Working hours needed by the customer including 50-75% traveling and working 50-60 hours per week when needed. -Demonstrate a good working knowledge of the installation and maintenance of rotating equipment: Bolting, Hydraulic Bolting, Flange Management, Small Bore Piping -Have experience working in a mechanical role in an energy or oil and gas environment (or similar). -Have a deep awareness of Health, Safety and Environmental compliance and potential risks. -Good mechanical/technical and oral communication skills. -Display an impressive customer service-orientation mindset and experience leading customers through tough decisions. -Be available to travel 70% of the time domestic and global -Be skilled at communicating complex technical information to customers and teams with varying levels of technical understanding.
