The Role

Overview

Design fire alarm systems, create AutoCAD drawings, coordinate projects, support field and sales.

Tasks

-Maintain project drawing files and records -Calculate, design and coordinate a project from beginning to end -Perform on site surveys -Modify and/or create processes to ensure consistent production and document control -Assist sales department with system configuration, specification review and code applications for estimating projects -Coordinate technical documents with other disciplines/contractors -Prepare fire alarm drawings using AutoCAD based from working both site visits and architectural prints -Assist superintendents and field personnel on system and code applications

What You Bring

-Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Fire Alarm system design and Auto CAD -Strong knowledge of industry codes such as IFC, NFPA, IBC, and NEC -Ability to maintain accurate and auditable records -Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook -25% driving -Construction experience is a plus -Excellent verbal and written communication skills -Ability to work in a fast-paced service/construction team environment -APS State of TX preferred -High School diploma or GED is required -Strong customer service skills -Ability to read and interpret architectural, electrical and mechanical drawings -Ability to travel as needed
