Overview

Supports TX projects by analyzing data, preparing plans, estimates, specs, and schedules.

Tasks

-Contributes to the preparation and/or modification of engineering reports and calculations for a wide variety of projects -Assists and prepares project plans using OpenRoads -Prepare and assist in the preparation of project specifications -Collects and analyzes data for inclusion in Project Plans and reports -Prepare and assist in the preparation of project schedules -Review project quantity estimates, details, and check calculations and drawings for compliance to project requirements -Prepares and assists in the preparation of project construction quantities and cost estimates

What You Bring

-EIT (E.I) Certification is required -Experience with OpenRoads Designer is highly preferred -2 - 4 years of experience -A satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR) -Previous TxDOT experience preferred -Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment. Volkert adheres to federal guidelines, which may include testing for substances such as marijuana. Please note that federal regulations may differ from state-specific guidelines -Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering -Valid driver’s license
