Lead Engineer

Nvent

The Role

Overview

Lead engineer driving R&D, design, testing & launch of high-density liquid cooling systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • reliability design
  • test planning
  • fmea support
  • vendor management
  • halt identification
  • prd development

Tasks

-Work with customers, industry leaders and represent in leading standard bodies (ASHRAE, OCP etc.) for generating technological evolution and R&D needs. -Liaison with technical leaders and guide larger multi-functional project team for design, development and launch of products through phase gate process. -Bring the “designed for Reliability, Availability, and Serviceability” approach. -Own the development of test plans, design of experiments (DOE) and new test beds based on the physics of failure and expected use behavior. -Assist engineering and manufacturing teams with DFMEAs, PFMEA, DFM etc. to help identify high-risk failure modes early in design life cycle. -Work with external vendors on manufacturing, process, and component performance and reliability requirements. -Identify sub-components that should be subject to endurance and fatigue testing (Highly Accelerated Life Testing (HALT). -Collaborate with Product Management and Architects and help generate product architecture and product requirement document (PRD].
