  • Has the ability to lead EHS committees and teams to drive continuous improvement
  • Conduct risk assessments and recommend risk mitigation strategies
  • Assist in the collection of samples for different testing analysis (i.e., storm water, chemicals, etc.)
  • Monitor and analyze EHS data, trends, and metrics to identify areas of improvement and implementing of corrective actions
  • Assist in new employee orientation training
  • Maintaining chemical management documentation, new equipment, and approval process
  • Support and maintain the improvements of EMS (ISO 14001) and SMS (ISO 45001) document control and systems.
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of certain EHS policies, procedures, and training programs
  • Conducts or coordinates training to educate employees about safety policies, laws, and best practices
  • Conduct regular safety and environmental inspections and audits of facilities and equipment to identify and address hazards and risks
  • Stay current with federal, state, and local regulations and industry best practices
  • Provide EHS technical support and drive site specific initiative and projects
  • Preparation of EHS reports and presentations as delegated
  • Assists site supervisors in investigations of incidents and severe incidents to prevent recurrence
  • Promote Daikin’s goal of zero (accidents, emissions, etc...)

Requirements

bachelor's
ehs
2-4 years
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Environmental Health and Safety or related field
  • 2-4 years related experience
