Building Electrical Engineer in Training (EIT)

Overview

Assist in designing building electrical systems for commercial, industrial & hospital projects.

Tasks

-Liaise with mechanical team on HVAC system design, etc. -Ensure compliance to the quality assurance and control program -Assist with preparation of specifications -Assist with proposal preparation and responding to RFPs -Assist with preparing technical reports -Assist with selection of equipment -Project planning including design schedule, and proposed construction schedules -Assist with building assessments for electrical systems. -Assist in preparing construction cost estimates -Assist the team in the electrical design of the building, such as electrical distribution, lighting including AGI32 calculation, fire alarm, etc.

What You Bring

-Needs to be Engineer in Training (EIT) from a Canadian regulatory body (ex: Engineers Nova Scotia, PEO, etc.); -Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent -ASP Construction card (an asset) -Valid Driver's license. -Proficiency in French (an asset). -Knowledge of building electrical codes and regulations -Need to have demonstrable experience in building electrical systems (electrical distribution, lighting, fire alarm, hvac) etc. -Minimum 2 years of relevant experience -Knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD software -Knowledge of AGI 32 lighting calculation software (an asset)
