Inspect wastewater and related infrastructure projects across the DE‑MD‑PA tri‑state area.

Tasks

-Stays current with industry standards, technological advancements, and best practices in wastewater construction and inspection techniques -Responsible for setting own project deadlines -Participates in pre-construction meetings, punch list preparation, testing, and commissioning -Provides on-the-job training to new employees -Collaborates with project managers, engineers, and contractors to resolve construction-related issues and ensure project success -Tracks quality assurance progress -Provides input to documentation for area and equipment turnovers -Verifies compliance with environmental regulations and permits related to wastewater management -Prepares detailed inspection reports, including photographic documentation and recommendations for corrective actions -Responsible for monitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements by performing inspection duties -Conducts thorough inspections of wastewater treatment facilities, including pumping stations, pipelines, and related infrastructure -Performs daily field inspections and maintains inspection records

What You Bring

-Valid US Driver’s License is required to regularly drive AECOM vehicles to project sites -Detailed-oriented and ability to maintain a professional and positive attitude -Frequent outdoor work in a variety of seasonal weather conditions -Daily walking several miles to perform job duties. Frequently across outdoor construction environments with a variety of uneven terrains such as mud, rock, grass, dirt and other unpaved terrains and variable outdoor conditions including heat, cold, dust, and noise -Frequent traveling to field locations. Locations and distances vary -High School Diploma plus 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education -DNREC Certified Construction Reviewer certification -Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports in Microsoft Word -NASSCO PACP certification -Ability to understand construction plans, shop drawing submittals, specifications, and applicable codes and regulations, and to identify and document deficiencies and deviations observed in the field -Proficiency with Microsoft Excel -Ability to work independently with limited direct supervision -Construction inspection experience on a variety of infrastructure projects -Relies on extensive experience and independent judgment to plan and accomplish goals -Due to the projects associated with this position a US Citizenship is required
