Tasks

-Assist in planning field activities and the development of Activity Hazard Analysis with project management and provides support to eliminate Safety & Health violations including monitoring subcontractors to ensure a safe working environment for all AZCO employees on site. -Assist in maintaining compliance with applicable Local, State, and Federal Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations. -Assist in obtaining permits and monitors hot work, confined space entries, lockout/tag out, and excavation. -Assist in maintaining project Safety & Health reporting requirements and project specific Safety and Health records are in an audit ready state at all times. -Resolve safety and health concerns and document the details and personnel involved for the project management team. -Assist with correspondence to heighten safety awareness, project safety and health goals. -Acts as liaison between customers and jobsite contacts. -Assist in executing Safety & Health Program deliverables as defined by the Corporate Safety & Health department of the Company. -Assist various work teams with pre-planning safety and health hazard assessments to ensure compliance with project policies and procedures. -Distribute and communicate safety information and materials. -Assist in the maintenance and submittal of all documentation as required by the Corporate Safety & Health Department. -Assist investigates incidents, prepares appropriate reports, and assists management in implementation of Return to Work policy. -Assist in identifying and documenting unique Safety & Health issues during the execution of the work at the project, and assist with implementing corrective action based on policies, guidelines and procedures for resolution. -Assist in policy and procedure development and determination of department goals and objectives; works with Safety Director to determine best means of implementation and provides feedback as to success and challenges. -Complies with all policies and standards -Assist the corporate and project Safety & Health teams in a collaborative manner to verify that the project safety program is being implemented and required safety compliance is documented. -Assist with orientation and training employees on safety and health requirements to ensure understanding and compliance with regulations and company policy. -Assist with work stoppage incidents when circumstances could lead to an immediate danger to life and health on a project. -Assist with communicating to local responders and medical facilities for pre-job mobilization. -Conduct daily walk throughs and coordinates with site supervisor to effectively carry out the site-specific safety plan. -Assist with availability and safe use of safety equipment and quantities. -Assist with providing Safety & Health program support on field construction projects to verify operations are executed as planned and conducted in a safe manner.

What You Bring

-First Aid/CRP Certification Preferred -Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred. -Basic knowledge of Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) Construction and General Industry Regulations, as well as; America National Standards Institution (ANSI), National Institute for Occupational Safety & Health (NIOSH), Army Corps of Engineers (CoE), Engineers Manual 385-1 and National Electrical Code (NEC) Standards. -Must meet standards to qualify for and maintain the Company's vehicle driving privileges as outlined in the Company's Motor Vehicle Safety Policy. -Associate Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, Construction Management, or relevant degree. and 2 years construction safety, general industry safety, or construction management. Required or -Familiarity with Zero Injury techniques of Construction Industry Institute desired. -OSHA 30-hour Construction Outreach Safety Training Course Required -Bachelor Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, Construction Management, or relevant degree. Required or -Excellent verbal and written communication skills. -Must be willing to work various schedules at the project site location. -OSHA 10-hour Construction Outreach Safety Training Course Required or -Valid drivers license Required -Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently (i.e., without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship) in the country where this position is located. -Must be proficient in the use of computer software (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint). -High School Diploma/GED and 4 years construction safety, general industry safety, or construction management. Required
