The Role
Overview
Lead design and manage electrical engineering projects from concept to completion.
Key Responsibilities

Tasks
-Review and oversee design plans, including calculations. Be a resource for design knowledge and subject matter expertise. -Coordinate with third party professional services, and equipment vendors/manufacturers -Be a dependent resource for Client communication and be a lead point of contact for Clients. -Participate in business development opportunities and provide RFP support, including market research. Including attendance at marketing functions, business dinners/events, and cross marketing with other offices. -Manage multiple projects with multiple Clients simultaneously. -Manage A/R’s, efficiency evaluations, profit evaluations and manage the financial aspect for all projects. -Conduct site visit investigations and generate reports and recommendations based on findings -Oversee project scheduling for all project related activities for all parties involved. -Plan staffing and establish budget hours within project parameters for all assigned staff. Analyze cost vs planned hours for disciplines and staff. Maintain phase and task level budgets. -Prepare and negotiate proposals and contracts with Clients and Sub-consultants. Prepare scope of work language for various types of projects in multiple markets. -Provide training and mentoring to junior design/engineering staff -Manage staff and staffing schedules through the duration of the project. -Coordinate and assist with addendums, RFIs, submittal reviews, and change orders

What You Bring
-Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office required, Revit a plus -Design experience in multiple markets. PV/solar, battery energy storage, electric vehicle, and resilient generator design experience is a plus. -Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or technical degree in a comparable field -10+ years of experience of combined electrical design and project management -Strong organization and communication skills. Delegation to staff, project planning, and scheduling. -P.E. license preferred but not required -Arc Flash/Short Circuit software a plus -Experience with managing a team/staff -Demonstrate a practical and functional knowledge of municipal codes
