Tasks
-Engineering Drawings: Supervise the Drawing Office team, manage the quality of work, and develop the CAD systems to create complex engineering drawings to support the communication, evaluation, and implementation of engineering solutions. -Feasibility Studies: Conduct complex feasibility studies from a technological and organizational perspective and document findings to complete cost-benefit analysis on implementing changes to business processes, products, or business unit structure. -Construction Advice: Provide specialist professional advice relating to construction regulations and best practice with regard to complex maintenance, alteration, and construction of buildings. -Client & Customer Management (External): Manage important client relationships with guidance from senior colleagues, or oversee relationship management with a group of more transactional clients and customers. -Personal Capability Building: Act as subject matter expert in an area of technology, policy, regulation, or operational management for the team. Maintain external accreditations and in-depth understanding of current and emerging external regulation and industry best practices through continuing professional development, attending conferences, and reading specialist media. -Architectural Design: Design architectural solutions and the associated validation process to enable the realization of a design brief (e.g., in terms of functionality, aesthetics, and cost) that conforms to organizational and/or regulatory standards. -Building Surveys: Undertake building and technical surveys to determine the building condition and identify defects and associated risks. Includes conducting a wide range of surveys on complex sites. -Building Information Modeling (BIM) System: Provide wide-ranging expert support for a building information modeling (BIM) system, with a particular focus on planning, implementation, and troubleshooting. -Bid Solicitation/Request for Proposal/Tender Analysis: Conduct complex feasibility studies from technological, financial, and organizational perspectives on bid solicitation, including request for proposal (RFP) and request for tender (RFT) project requirements, and write specifications for tenders.
