Temporary field tech performing vegetation, irrigation, and habitat restoration tasks.

Tasks

-Complete project daily reports if needed -Work as part of a team and take direction -Maintain a clean and safe job site -Keep accurate timesheet records, submitted for review and signoff by the required deadlines -Maintain and care for company equipment, tools and vehicles -Follow all safety procedures on project site -Work closely with supervisor in installation of construction and landscape construction projects -Attending meetings, both in person and virtually, and speaking on the phone with peers, clients, etc.

What You Bring

Hands-on experience with irrigation system installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting Experience in the safe handling and application of pesticides, including compliance with local and federal regulations Direct experience in habitat restoration, including planting, invasive species removal, and ecosystem management Proven ability to work effectively in field teams and coordinate with multiple stakeholders -Operate a variety of hand and power tools -Working on a computer, sitting, or standing for long periods of time in a field, office, or remote office setting. -Proven ability to work effectively in field teams and coordinate with multiple stakeholders -Hands-on experience with irrigation system installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting -This job requires project site visits, based outdoors which can include excessive noise, uneven walking surfaces, extreme weather, and moving vehicles and equipment -Great time management skills; available for seasonal long hours and weekends -Ability to work effectively with individuals of differing backgrounds, knowledge and skill levels -Punctual and dependable -Valid driver’s license with a clean DMV record -Experience in the safe handling and application of pesticides, including compliance with local and federal regulations -Specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. -Ability to travel out of town/overnight -Highly motivated, self-driven, detail oriented -Must possess a valid driver’s license and have active personal automobile liability insurance by first day of employment. -Outdoor activity involves walking/trekking in uneven terrain over long distances in extreme weather conditions for extended periods of time -Perform highly physical installation work on a consistent basis -Employees must be capable of bending, squatting, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 35 lbs. unassisted; 50lbs in a team lift (two or more employees) -Direct experience in habitat restoration, including planting, invasive species removal, and ecosystem management -1 to 3 years’ experience in landscape industry -High School Diploma or Equivalent
