Tasks

-Facilitate effective communication and collaboration with clients, contractors, and stakeholders. -Conduct regular audits and quality assurance checks on BIM models. -Interpret client requirements to ensure all proposals address BIM needs and standards. -Represent Ireland offices within the NIRAS Global Expertise Network for BIM. -Stay abreast of emerging BIM technologies and industry trends. -Create and manage project-specific BIM Execution Plans (BEPs). -Provide technical support, training, and troubleshooting for primary BIM software. -Collaborate with project teams to integrate BIM into project planning and execution. -Identify and mitigate BIM-related project risks, escalating issues to Project Management as needed to safeguard project delivery. -Develop and maintain BIM documentation, implementing workflows that comply with NIRAS and client BIM standards and processes. -Lead development and execution of NIRAS BIM Strategy, guiding projects from proposal through delivery and handover. -Deliver training and ongoing support to team members on BIM tools and processes. -Ensure all BIM activities adhere to internal, client, and international standards (e.g., ISO 19650, PAS 1192 and NIRAS Standards). -Provide strategic leadership and oversight to BIM team, ensuring effective implementation of BIM processes across all projects. -Monitor workflows and modelling techniques across projects to ensure alignment with BEPs. -Coordinate BIM activities with Project Managers and BIM Coordinators, maintaining accuracy and integrity in project models.

What You Bring

BIM LEAD NIRAS seek a skilled and experienced BIM Lead to join our team. The BIM Lead, reporting to the Projects Director, with the support of the BIM Team, will be responsible for managing the Building Information Modelling (BIM) process and ensuring the successful implementation and integration of BIM technology within our projects Ideal candidates will have 10-15 years process design and operations experience with at least 8- 10 years’ experience held in a senior management level capacity and significant experience gained working in a process design / engineering consultancy environment. Experience working on Life Sciences or related projects in highly regulated Pharmaceutical, Medical Devices, Food & Beverage industries is preferred. -Demonstrated aptitude for resolving coordination challenges. -Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities. -Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. -Advanced proficiency in BIM software, including Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD Plant 3D. -Proven experience in clash detection and coordination processes. -Solid knowledge of construction methodologies and project management principles. -A minimum of eight years’ experience in BIM management. -Demonstrated success in leading BIM delivery within complex industry environments. -Outstanding leadership and time management skills, with a track record of delivering results under pressure and within tight timeframes. -Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. -Expertise in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Autodesk ACC, Microsoft Excel, and Power BI. -Ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously and consistently meet deadlines. -Location: Hybrid work with regular presence required in either Dublin / Castlebar office. -Thorough understanding of BIM standards and protocols, such as ISO 19650 and PAS 1192.
