Intern/Co-Op assisting with civil/geotechnical engineering tasks at Geosyntec

Tasks

-Assist with engineering calculations using computer-based technical tools; -Follow instructions and interact with engineers, geologists, office administrative staff, CADD operators (draftsmen), contractors and construction personnel; and -Data input and analysis, including preparing maps, tables, and figures; -Technical writing of reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals;

What You Bring

-Experience with Microsoft Office. (required) -Degree focus area in civil, geotechnical, environmental, or water resources engineering (preferred) -Experience with CADD, Rocscience suite, and GeoStudio. (preferred) -Potential for fieldwork such as construction monitoring, soil and groundwater sampling, and drilling and contractor oversight. -Valid U.S. driver’s license, reliable transportation, and satisfactory driving record for business travel to project sites. (required) -Candidates must currently hold and maintain valid U.S. work authorization. New H-1B visa lottery and employment based green card sponsorship are not available for this position. -Local travel or driving to project sites as needed. -Outstanding academic credentials and exceptional interpersonal, technical writing, oral and written communication and problem-solving skills. (required) -Currently registered in a Bachelor’s or Master’s university degree program in a relevant engineering discipline. (required)

Benefits

-Minimum: $23.19 /hour / Maximum: $32.47/hour (Oakland, CA, Walnut Creek, CA) -Minimum: $22.18 /hour / Maximum: $31.06/hour (Davis, CA)
