Tasks

HDR is looking for a Construction Inspector to perform construction engineering and inspection duties on highway and bridge construction projects in North Carolina utilizing NCDOT policies and procedures. This includes materials testing, proper reporting and documentation utilizing any other required means. The candidate must be able to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications and be able to identify discrepancies or conflicts within the documents as well as enforcement of these contract documents. Work may be located throughout the state of NC and effort will be made to keep candidates close to their geographic location in NC if possible.

What You Bring

-Management experience a plus -NCDOT experience preferred -Strong written and verbal communication skills -Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) -Local candidates preferred -Work requires travel to meetings, site visits, and inspections. -Minimum of 1 year of experience inspecting transportation projects required -Must be licensed to operate motor vehicles in accordance with applicable state law -Ability to work independently or as part of team
