The Role

Overview

Perform microbiology QC testing of finished medical device products.

Tasks

-Establish and maintain SOP criteria for inspection and testing. -Collaborate with Customer Service Representatives to achieve on-time product releases. -Support all company policies and participate in achieving department goals. -Participate in the continuous improvement program within the department. -Perform and interpret microbiology testing, including growth promotion, biochemical assays, and Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing (AST). -Execute Stability Study testing in accordance with Quality Assurance (QA) requirements. -Review and maintain product compliance specifications and documentation control. -Assist in maintaining standards according to GMP and ISO regulations. -Exercise and monitor Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) compliance in the work environment.

What You Bring

-Adaptability to learn new procedures while maintaining a scientific and objective approach. -Gain proficiency on all performance benches and document testing results to determine product disposition. -Experience in quality control and microbiology. -Experience in related QC/QA or microbiology laboratory work. -Availability to work weekend shifts when needed. -Ability to manage multiple tasks in an organized manner. -Familiarity with FDA regulations for medical devices. -Intermediate computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with SAP is a plus. -Excellent verbal and written skills in English. -Self-motivated, highly responsible, and possessing a good teamwork spirit. -Possess at least a four-year degree in biological sciences with coursework in microbiology, including laboratory experience, or a four-year degree with 5+ years of microbiology lab experience. -Effective communication skills with various departments regarding quality testing parameters. -Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
