Tasks

-Issue back charges for the material overages -Communicate with counterparts to ensure the efficient management of all of the materials on all home types across all areas of the division -Perform checklists and complete reports that aid in controlling the efficient management of all of the materials on all home types -Perform onsite inspections of all delivered materials at homes throughout the construction process -Issue purchase orders for any material shortages and determine if the takeoffs need adjustment -Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company -Determine all material overages and coordinate the pickup of those materials by the material suppliers -Manage all aspects of proper usage and installation of those materials -Determine if accurate material quantities are delivered. Coordinate with material suppliers on incorrect material deliveries or delivery of damaged materials -Adjust material takeoffs in the operating system -Determine if there is incorrect material usage by subcontractors, provide the appropriate direction on correction to the subcontractors, and communicate the issue to the Construction Department and Purchasing Department -Provide direction to the field installation subcontractors on allocated materials for each area of the house as communicated by the Purchasing Department -Assess waste on jobsites to adjust takeoffs, taking note of the misuse or excessive waste of materials by turnkey subcontractors and communicating the details to the Construction and Purchasing Departments

What You Bring

-Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applications -Proficiency with MS Office and email -One to three years of related experience and/or training -Strong communication skills -Must have a vehicle and a valid driver’s license -Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university -Be aware of ever-changing applicable building codes and OSHA requirements which would alter material types, material usage, or material quantities -Ability to multi-task and attention to detail
