Architectural Designer

Description

• Responsible for design, construction administration and contract administration of project requirements, client and consultant needs.
• Performs job site visits, assess problems and recommends solutions
• Review design and documents for required code compliance
• Apply intensive and diversified knowledge of professional principles and practices in broad areas.

Requirements

• Knowledge of the unique aspects of the local region architecture
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
• Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as structural analysis of building systems
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of peers, managers, consultants and clients.
• Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, geometry and equations.
• Proficient in Building Information Management (BIM) Revit software, and computer assisted drafting (CAD) equipment and software.
• Must be actively pursuing professional licensure with the Board of Examiners for Architects and completion of the ARE in the State of NM and must be currently enrolled in a recognized Intern Development Program (IDP) or in procession of Accredited Degree in Architecture with ability to pursue licensure.
• Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment.
• Must have knowledge of New Mexico building codes.
• Ability to communicate effectively both in written format and oral presentation
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence.
• Demonstrated ability to build and study architectural scaled models
• Proficient with MS Office software; including MS Word, Excel,
• Ability to multi-task and establish priorities.
