The Role

Overview

Perform maintenance, repairs, and minor construction tasks in commercial buildings.

Tasks

-Complete repairs such as door hardware adjustments, ceiling tile replacement, light fixture maintenance, drywall patching, and minor carpentry. -Communicate with clients and office staff regarding project status, timelines, and needed materials. -Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, structural, and finishes). -Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area. -Assist project managers and superintendents with warranty work and post-construction punch lists. -Respond to work orders and service requests in a timely and professional manner. -Support seasonal maintenance programs and emergency repair requests. -Coordinate with subcontractors or vendors for specialized maintenance tasks. -Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service records, and daily reports.

What You Bring

-Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. -Effective problem-solving skills and attention to detail. -Forklift or heavy equipment operation certification. -Minimum 3 years of experience in maintenance or facilities support, preferably in a construction or industrial environment. -Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a physically demanding environment. -Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and manuals. -Good record-keeping and time management skills. -Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between job sites as needed. -Proficient in using hand and power tools, diagnostic instruments, and safety equipment. -Basic understanding of OSHA safety regulations and site safety practices. -High school diploma or GED; technical training or trade certification in electrical, mechanical, or HVAC is preferred.
