Tasks

-Review and ensure updates to projects cost estimates are completed in a controlled manner -Liaise with engineering, procurement, subcontract and construction functions to maintain awareness of the requirements and costs of labor, plant and equipment, materials, subcontracts, offices, IT, and other provisions, to ensure these are accurately reflected in the project cost estimate -Liaise with other Project Controls disciplines to ensure projects budgets and schedules are developed to reflect the structure and content of the approved project cost estimate -Plan, schedule, and lead the estimate review and presentation process -Presentation of the estimate to Wood and Client management -Mentoring and coaching members of the estimating team to ensure their ongoing development -Play a key role in the mentoring and career development of Estimating personnel -Verify and approve the Basis of Estimate for project cost estimates for wider approval -Lead and participate in Project Controls Compliance and Continuous Improvement Reviews -Develop, issue, and maintain project cost estimates in accordance with the Basis of Estimate including statements of work scope, assumptions, man-hour estimates, narratives, and review & comment of client documents -Ensure estimates are prepared in compliance with Wood processes, procedures, and guidelines -Developing project specific estimate plans, schedules, and basis within the project team -Reviewing and evaluating vendor and subcontractor quotes -May review and communicate cost and schedule impact of change notifications -Promote the use of standard estimating systems, procedures, and work methods -Review and issue change orders in accordance with the appropriate change notifications -Facilitate and chair the internal review of project cost estimates, ensuring updates are actioned and estimate approval is obtained as required -Accountable for the formal filing of project and proposal estimates, the collection of project historical data and the continuous update of estimating databases and norms in a controlled manner. -Supervising and managing a team in the development of conceptual, factored, semi-detailed, and detailed cost estimates -Performing detailed quantitative, cost, and productivity analysis -Maintenance and support of historical estimating databases, escalation indices, and productivity data -Review and deliver estimates to Wood management and the client for approval

What You Bring

-Meaningful and interesting projects delivered to leaders of industry across Process and Chemicals sector. -Excellent understanding of Cost Management, Change Control, Planning & Risk Analysis & Management -5 -10 years of progressive industry experience, with at least five (5) years in estimating positions for Industrial projects is a must -Thorough knowledge of estimating techniques and systems with a detailed knowledge of how these are applied -Excellent understanding of project management principles and techniques
