Overview
Designs and oversees utility-scale PV systems from concept to commissioning

Tasks
-Participate in regular design audits and peer reviews to maintain design integrity. -Participate in feasibility studies and technical reviews to assess risk, cost, and schedule impacts. -Contribute to the development of internal design standards and quality control procedures. -Promote a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement within the engineering team. -Work is primarily performed in an office environment with occasional travel to customer sites or project locations (approximately 10–20% travel). -Develop electrical system designs, single-line diagrams, and detailed wiring layouts for utility-scale PV projects. -Support design improvements through the application of new methods, materials, and technology. -Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, regulations, and safety standards. -Review and approve drawings, calculations, and documentation to confirm compliance with industry standards and client specifications. -Evaluate equipment selections and configurations to achieve optimal performance and reliability. -Collaborate with sales, international, and project management teams to align technical requirements with project goals. -Maintain accurate records of design changes, specifications, and test results. -Serve as a technical mentor for junior engineers and designers. -Provide engineering support during construction and commissioning phases to resolve technical issues as they arise.

What You Bring
-Experience preparing and reviewing electrical design packages for construction. -Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required. -Strong working knowledge of NEC, IEEE, and relevant PV design standards. -Ability to work independently while contributing to team goals. -NABCEP certification and experience with PVsyst or Helioscope preferred. -Minimum of five (5) years of experience in utility-scale photovoltaic (PV) system design. -Must maintain a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record. -Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD platforms -Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
