Tasks

Provide project engineering leadership for a portfolio of Capital Projects (typically below $20 mln each) at the Deer Park Refinery. Accountable for safety, delivery of a functioning system that solves the problem or realizes the opportunity, cost, and schedule for assigned set of projects. -Work with discipline Engineers, Designers and other support personal to ensure project expectations are met. -Ensure proper project and discipline engineering and design execution. -Manages simultaneous projects with competing priorities in various phases on a wide variety of manufacturing processes in the refinery. -Work with both internal and external customer ensuring projects are met timely. -Prepare scope, cost estimates, schedules, etc -Safely executes capital projects from front-end development (Identify, Assess, Select, & Define phases) to detailed design and construction (Execute phase) including procurement, cost control and schedule management.

Bachelor Degree in Engineering from ABET college. -Ability to work with little supervision. -4-10 years of Project Engineering is required. -A practical working knowledge of refinery/chemical processes, process equipment, and general project procedures is required. -4-10 years experience in Refinery or Petrochemical Plant Engineering. -Position requires occasional field walks and visits.
