Tasks

-Prepares detailed and thoroughdaily inspection reports. -Monitor records on all shop welders with their level of certification and monitor daily rod use. -Provide feedback on questions related to quality and project requirements from shop employees. -Assist in setting up, monitor and maintain welding procedures, bolting procedures and painting procedures required for projects. -Inspects all fabrication jobs to maintain the quality levels of work produced in accordance with applicable codes, standards, contract documents, and company QC procedures.

What You Bring

-Must have excellent mathematical skills. -Ability to lift 50 lbs. frequently and be able to climb 25 ft. -Lexicon University -The ability to work overtime and regular, punctual attendance is required. -Exposure to temperature fluctuations and loud work environment. -High School or equivalent degree required. -Must have ability to bend, stoop, push and pull frequently. -Requires occasional travel with overnight stays. -5 years of experience in a steel fabrication shop environment. -AWS certified welding inspector, ASNT level-II certification, and/or SSPC/NACE certification is desirable. -Previous fitting and welding experience is required. -Must be able to read and understand blueprints and shop drawings and pass an inspector test.
