Project Field Engineer (Structural & Architectural)

Provide technical support for structural/architectural projects, overseeing design and QA/QC.

Tasks

-Plan and develop construction work packages for civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and process plant systems -Coordinate craft production, and release work in a timely manner to meet subcontract and project schedules -Manage and coordinate both material and human resources -Support subcontractors in a manner that adheres to the construction schedule and contract terms -Support the Construction Manager in analyzing and reporting the daily progress of subcontractors -Work to fulfill the requirements identified in the Lemartec Field Engineering Handbook -Understand technical drawings and specifications for the structural and architectural scope of construction. Interpret design/drawings for crafts installing material. Prepare field design change requisitions and "as build" drawings, as required -Frequently lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds -Provide support to the Project Controls Manager in standard Project Controls responsibilities (i.e. cost, scheduling, and estimating/re-estimating) -Adhere to the Lemartec Safety Manual and OSHA Safety rules -Prepare and disseminate all required documentation records such as QA/QC report, punch lists describing work items to be done, sketches of work already completed, material requirement calculations, etc. -Climb stairs -Facilitate technical approvals by the engineers and expedite design development according the engineering schedule and contract terms -Use hands and arms to reach for, grasp and manipulate object -Propose modifications to engineering design and interpreting drawings, specifications and other technical documents for the subcontractors -Adhere to the Lemartec Employee Handbook and Human Resources Policies

-Comprehend subcontract language, scope, terms and technical requirements -Communications skills in writing and speaking (including technical communications) -Knowledge of codes that apply to infrastructure construction -Hard Hat (Company Provided) -Rain coat or poncho -Minimum 2 years of experience working in construction is required. -Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited university. -Safety glasses (Company Provided) -Knowledge of construction activities including architecture, structural, material, equipment, cost and time requirements to perform construction tasks -Understanding of design and engineering of large scale construction projects across all engineering disciplines -Strong oral and written communication skills (other preferences will be given for special language skills where there is a business need) -Understand quality requirements and industry standards for various construction crafts and perform typical QA/QC duties as required and outlined the Lemartec Field Engineering Handbook -Understand detailed project schedules including required predecessors and successors to each activity -Frequent extended durations performing duties on the work site -A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in structural and architectural disciplines. -Prior experience with data center projects is preferred. -Steel toed work boots -Technical engineering and computing knowledge -Ability to work both independently and within a team environment on all phases of an EPC Project with minimal supervision -Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook, AutoCAD, Document Control Systems
