Senior/Principal Instrumentation Engineer

Lead instrumentation design and teams on large-scale projects from concept to completion.

Tasks

-Assembling and managing bid, approval, and construction issue Instrumentation packages in an efficient and lean manner -Providing support to fee and capital budget proposals as required -Attending and participating in client and PM Group meetings -Checking other Instrumentation engineers work for accuracy and quality and undertake peer reviews -Leading an Instrumentation Team on various projects as part of a multidiscipline project team -Direct and/or participate in project site visits to monitor, review and sign-off Instrument installations -Mentoring Instrumentation engineering staff at junior and intermediate levels, as required -Analysing complex engineering problems and offering effective solutions

What You Bring

-Advanced knowledge of all applicable Instrumentation engineering codes, standards and acceptable industry practices -Skilled in project execution, budget control, resource planning and change management -Commercially aware and have the ability to undertake value engineering activities and implement new technologies where they are implemented to provide costs effective solutions for our clients -Professional approach and demeanour -Third Level Degree in Instrumentation Engineering (NFQ Level 8) or similar discipline -Extensive and independent contact with clients, vendor’s representatives and project field personnel -Proficient in the use of Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI) & digital project delivery is an advantage -Demonstrable advanced experience in the complete suite of Instrumentation engineering design services including (but not limited to): -Strong verbal and written communication skills required with the ability to prepare written specifications and contract documents -10+ years of formal experience in industrial engineering design
