Tasks
-Mentor junior engineers, fostering professional development while overseeing quality control for bridge design and plan sets. -Provide structural bridge design and plan production support to teams across different office locations. -Develop technical memorandums, specifications, feasibility studies, evaluations, and reports, and contribute to proposal development. -Lead bridge projects as the Bridge Task Coordinator, managing project schedules, tasks, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with client goals and deadlines. -Mentor junior engineers and perform quality control for structural/bridge plan sets. -Collaborate with a team on structural analysis and design of various bridge types, including steel beams, prestressed concrete beams, concrete slabs, pedestrian bridges, culverts, retaining walls, grade separations, stream crossings, bridge hydraulic analysis, rehabilitation, feasibility studies, structure type studies, load ratings, railroad bridges, and design-build projects.

What You Bring
-In-depth knowledge of AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications and the Manual for Bridge Evaluation. -PE license is a plus; successful candidates must have or be able to obtain a PE within 1 year of hire. -5-10 years of hands-on bridge/culvert design experience, with a strong background in the full lifecycle of bridge projects -Established relationships with state DOTs and municipalities are preferred. -Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage schedules, budgets, and client expectations. -Ability to mentor and guide junior engineers effectively. -Experience with CAD plan development, MicroStation/ORD preferred. -Direct experience with DOT bridge design and a thorough understanding of DOT design guidelines, procedures, and plan preparation. -Required: Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Civil Engineering required. Structural emphasis preferred. -High attention to detail and commitment to quality control in all project phases.
