Tasks

The Driller is primarily responsible for safe operations, repairing drilling equipment, daily reporting, well control practices, and providing guidance to work crews. Supervises repairs of equipment Maintains drilling rigs clean and in proper order Monitor and ensure proper well control practices are followed as per H&P operating procedure Ensures compliance with all relevant H&P policies Supervises and provides expectations, goals, and training for work crew personnel regarding rigging up or rigging down, day to day operations, and company policies and procedures Supervises operations to ensure compliance with safety guidelines and established procedures by their assigned rig crew Ensures safety equipment is in proper working order and in the appropriate locations. Operates rig and systems from control panel to maximize drilling and tripping efficiency; supervises operations on the rig floor Ensures the safe operation of the drill rig, related equipment and personnel that come directly under their control and complies with federal, state and territory health, safety and environmental legislation Apply relevant Saudi legislation as it pertains to Drilling, HSE obligations and expectations, reporting, audit Prepares and submits drilling operations reports Provides regular updates and reports and works closely with site management

IT software and hardware Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to effectively work in indigenous environments Flexible and adaptable, able to overcome and solve problems Must have proven leadership skills Demonstrated commitment to H&P’s Health, Safety, and Environmental standards and C.A.R.E. processes (COACH people-based safety, Compass Cards, LifeBelts, JSAs, hotwork, confined space entry, lock-out/tag-out, dropped object prevention, etc.) with a proven track record of compliance 3+ years of rig drilling experience Ability to consult with crews and optimize safety and productivity outcomes Up to date on current Workday trainings as assigned Leads, understands and applies local, territory, state and federal statutory obligations Must be committed to the H&P Way and H&P’s core values of Actively C.A.R.E., Service Attitude, Innovative Spirit, Teamwork, and Do the Right Thing Proficient with Microsoft: World, Excel, Outlook and Totco/Pason and IADC report
