Tasks

This position is responsible for assisting in the operation of department. An individual in this position will be expected to perform additional job-related responsibilities and duties throughout the assigned projects and as necessary. In addition to the responsibilities below, the Sr. Systems Integrator works under the Operations Manager performing routine and complex technical duties in troubleshooting and repairing of components within PLC field cabinets, sensors, and related controls. The location of the work is in the greater DC area with the majority involving mission critical government facilities, on-site. Physical Activities: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk, use hands and arms to handle, feel and reach, push, pull bend and twist. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl through narrow, enclosed or elevated spaces; move up and down stairs. Visually inspect and locate equipment and products. Read information, often in small print. Enter and locate information on a computer system or communication device. Write documents, reports etc. using a writing instrument (e.g., pencil, pen) or computer. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. -Mentors and set a good example for less experienced technicians. -Setup, program, troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLC) systems/HMI and associated automation controls. -Safely perform point-to-point checkout per department standards, e.g., use multimeter to check continuity and/or resistance of sensors, verifying sensors with calibrated meters. -Communicate with jobsite personnel from other trades to complete project objectives. -Take initiative and responsibility for the checkout of end devices, module configuration, and troubleshooting network related issues. -Creates thorough daily reports. -Works with commissioning agent to demonstrate system functionality. -Communicate technical issues to management, project managers and/or more senior level technicians. -Complete weekly timecards accurately and timely by 8am every Monday. -Mentor lower-level technicians to maintain these standards. -Analyze, test and debug PLC code to ensure reliable performance. -Responsible for the startup of simple to complex HVAC systems. -Perform necessary database tasks such as backups, troubleshooting and exporting of files. -Have the ability to provide design assistance to internal team. -Maintain field markups and coordinate field markups from lower-level techs.

What You Bring

-Experience in high-availability environments like data centers, hospitals, or government facilities. -Prior experience with commercial control systems such as Automated Logic, Johnson Controls, Siemens, Honeywell preferred. -Able to make complex programs and graphic changes to meet specifications and sequences. -PLC programming and troubleshooting experience required. Allen Bradley preferred. -Equivalent experience, vocational school, or an associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or similar field is preferred. -Understands various protocols that may be integrated into the building automation system. -Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills; high quality document and report preparation.

Benefits

Salary Range: $110,000-$130,000/yr. DOE. Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to varying temperatures, work areas that may be slippery and or wet, near equipment and mechanical moving parts. Work indoors for extended periods of time. This is an on-site position and is not eligible for remote or hybrid work. Project working hours can vary depending on assigned projects, but 6:00 am to 2:30 pm is typical.
