Tasks

-Conducts Technical Audits for both Safety & EEV. -Performs mathematical calculations required to summarize test results as applicable. -Determines and reviews which tests are required the order in which to perform tests and the number of samples required. -Maintains and initiates direct Certifier contact to provide information and answer questions or obtains more product information. -Communicates with clients regarding project details. -Performs tests and calculations, compiles data and summarizes test results into test reports and checklists. Verifies calculations are consistent with results of measurements. -Relates test results to product specifications. -Read and understand Electronic/Mechanical schematics by identify components (heaters, blowers, switches and controls) -Tests to the certifier’s requests and provides general and specific information about the certification testing process or status of a work order to assist the certifier and improve overall customer service and satisfaction. -Maintains good housekeeping of tools, equipment and work area following tests and carries out assigned laboratory clean-up duties. -Provides the certifier with detailed interpretation of test results and construction evaluation and how it applies to the status of their certification. -Conducts a wide range of test procedures on equipment to the applicable standards and interprets the results of the test. -Determines whether a product passes or fails subject to review by Certifier/Reviewer. -Interacts with the Certifier to plan activities, exchange information, review and approve lab reports and certification records. -Assembles and disassembles test samples, hooks-up laboratory test equipment in preparation for testing and operates most laboratory test equipment without supervision. -Maintaining effective communication with clients -Reviews work orders for accuracy. -May be required to purchase tools/equipment from outside shops. -Performs witness testing as required by Lab Tech III or Manager. -Records technical data and draft reports.

What You Bring

-CSA C22.2 No. 108, CSA C22.2 No. 77, UL 778, UL 1004-2 and UL 1004-3 - Motor Operated Liquid Pumps -5-8 years of Motors and Electricity experience -Knowledge on how to operate test equipment in a safe manner. -IEC 60335-1 and IEC 60335-2-41- Motor operated liquid pumps -Willingness to travel as needed -Ability to effectively and efficiently deal with multiple projects, conflicting timelines & changing priorities. -ASME A112.3.4-2018/CSA B45.9-18 - Macerating toilet systems and waste - pumping systems for plumbing fixtures -Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology -Excellent and effective time and project management skills to efficiently handle a variety and multiple project requests to meet timelines for completion, and on-time delivery. -3-year Technical Certificate or equivalent education and experience or -CSA C22.2 No. 218.2 and UL 1795 - Hydromassage bathtub appliances -CSA C22.2 No. 218.1 and UL 1563 - Spas, hot tubs, cold tubs, and associated equipment -Adaptable to a changing work environment. -Excellent oral and written communication skills to interact effectively and efficiently with internal customers as well as external. -Needs to be knowledgeable of safe practices; ability to move equipment around with assistance or independently; follow safety practices; ability to interact with internal customers as well as external; ability to use a variety of equipment to perform daily tasks
