The Role
Overview
Standardize processes & develop export control training for a federal agency

Tasks
-Ensure that process documentation remains aligned with regulatory requirements and agency approvals. -Communicate process documentation clearly and effectively to technical and non-technical audiences. -Collaborate with agency leadership to confirm process documentation prior to training development. -Upon request from customer leadership, assess and advise on potential process enhancements to improve compliance, efficiency, or clarity. -Proactively coordinate with customer leadership to confirm documentation accuracy before training integration. -Standardize and document processes for the purpose of developing role-specific training materials, ensuring content is accurate and consistent. -Compliance software platforms for classification, licensing, and recordkeeping. -Ensure all documentation is auditable, clear, and consistent with export control and applicable agency requirements. -Coordinate with training development teams to ensure process documentation translates into comprehensive, role-based training modules. -Observe, assess, and document existing agency processes in alignment with SOPs, applicable regulations, and export control requirements. -Display initiative in gathering and analyzing process information while adhering to customer-defined priorities.

What You Bring
-Demonstrated ability to document and standardize processes in coordination with multiple stakeholders. -Skilled in business process improvement tools and methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.). -Light lifting (not to exceed 25 pounds) of materials and equipment on an infrequent basis. -Skilled in compliance software platforms for classification, licensing, and recordkeeping. -Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, bridging technical and policy perspectives. -Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work within a customer-led process improvement structure. -Ability to work on-site under tight timelines in a classified or controlled information environment. -Knowledge in risk assessment and mitigation practices in regulated environments. -Knowledge in U.S. export control frameworks, including ITAR and EAR, jurisdiction determination, classification, and licensing. -Certification in export compliance (e.g., Certified Export Specialist). -Active Secret Clearance. -Ability to rapidly assess and document processes in highly regulated and security-sensitive environments. -Experience working in a controlled/classified environment. -Direct experience with export control compliance, classification, or licensing processes. -Experience in export control regulatory environments (ITAR, EAR, or equivalent). -Knowledge in SOP development, process mapping, and workflow standardization. -Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and pre-hire drug test. -Experience integrating process improvements into formal training programs, and knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methods, with the ability to translate documented processes into effective training content for diverse audiences. -Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into efficient, standardized processes. -Business process improvement tools and methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.). -Bachelor’s degree in policy, compliance, business process management, or related field.
