Tasks

Our team provides end-to-end solution delivery for major customers, including taking part in tendering activities, specification reviews & assessments, drawing & design reviews, liaising with overseas manufacturers, preparation for site works, installation and commissioning and quality management. In this position, you will provide technical support and guidance for transformer-related opportunities and projects. -Solution Development: Support Sales teams in developing innovative solutions, such as integrated skid systems. -Project Delivery: Assist Project Managers during execution by reviewing designs and drawings to ensure compliance with contractual requirements. -Bid Support: Support Sales Manager during bidding processes by reviewing specifications and coordinating with Toshiba’s overseas manufacturing facilities. -Standards Compliance: Review and update internal standards while maintaining familiarity with international (IEC) and Australian standards (AS). -End-to-end solution delivery for major clients -Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain applicable QA programs throughout project lifecycles. -Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT): Participate in FATs at Toshiba’s overseas factories for transformer projects. -Technical Expertise: Act as a Subject Matter Expert in equipment failure analysis and repair methodologies during root cause investigations.

What You Bring

As part of this position, you will be required to travel approximately 15-20% of the time, including site visits, FATs, exhibitions & conferences. Our customer sites include remote locations and mining sites, which require attendance during commissioning and maintenance work. -Extensive understanding of transformer construction and design practices for both distribution and transmission types -Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering -Experience within the transformer industry, specifically with expertise in transformer design. -Proven experience leading Factory Acceptance Tests, with strong knowledge of IEC and AS manufacturing standards -Ability to manage multiple priorities, proactively improve processes, and contribute to the company’s goals in safety, quality, and profitability -Exposure to customer site-based work, including remote or mining sites. -Knowledge on MV Switchgears is an added advantage -Communication & Training: Demonstrate strong technical communication skills, including training, presentations, and customer engagement.
