Associate Chemist - HRMS - Environment Testing - 2nd Shift

Overview

Perform sample prep, analysis, QC, and equipment maintenance for environmental testing.

Tasks

-Dispose of all chemical wastes using approved methods -Analyze/prep samples and QC for routine testing -Prepare standard solutions and other reagents as needed -Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner -Review, work up, and assemble all supporting data for work performed -Perform prep/analysis of samples of various matrices for various analytical methods -Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate -Perform basic maintenance on equipment used for routine work

What You Bring

-Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English. -Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills -Bachelor's degree in Chemistry -Read, understand, and carry out SOPs required by EPA or company methods, governing agencies, clients, and our internal QC department -Prior lab experience -Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies -Use word processor and spreadsheet programs on PC -Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship -Regular attendance and punctuality -Ability to work independently and as part of a team -Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or other related degree concentration
