Overview
Create and draft power plant system designs using CAD software and industry standards.

Tasks
-Coordinate with other drafters, designers and other team members assigned to a project or task, and support work progress and results. -Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. -Check design deliverables in accordance with industry codes and standards, contract requirements, and company standards. -Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required. -Draft sketches, piping and instrument diagrams, or model 3D equipment items for power plant systems including steam cycle systems, boiler feed and condensate, water treatment, fuel handling, hydraulic, heat transfer systems, conveying systems, and air and gas systems. -Adhere to schedules and work assignments to ensure successful project completion. -Train and advise interns or new graduates

What You Bring
-Knowledge of drafting software including MicroStation, Autodesk, SmartPlant -Work productively and meet deadlines timely -Bachelor’s degree in Drafting and Design or related discipline -Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment. -At least 3+ years’ related design experience -Regular, reliable attendance -Proficient in basic computer programs including MS Word and Excel, web browsing and e-mail programs
