  • Acquire, maintain and develop own competence in accordance with legislative changes and customer requirements.
  • Install and construct overhead electricity networks to relevant construction standards and exacting quality standards.
  • Carry out all work in accordance with the standards, policies and procedures of Freedom and its customers.
  • Report any concerns regarding SHEQ to the SHEQ team and your manager.
  • Work as part of a team to ensure the safe, effective and efficient implementation of Freedom’s operations.
  • Maintain in good working order issued vehicles, tools and equipment
  • Maintain site safety at all times.
  • To highlight any concerns, unsafe conditions or acts to your line manager.
  • To construct/maintain/replace overhead electrical networks up to 33kV.
  • To mentor other team members.
  • A key part of an Overhead Line team to erect poles, change transformers and carry out any other overhead line work that may be required.
  • Maintain awareness of and conform to Freedom’s SHEQ policy and issued safety instructions.
  • To ensure that all work is carried out efficiently and in accordance with Company procedures and client/Company distribution safety rules.
  • To lead by example and safely undertake works as directed.
  • To partake in the risk assessment process prior to project commencement and continually review and report changes to your Chargehand.
  • Complete all work to high standards.

  • NPTC Chainsaw qualification
  • People with IPAF accreditation – Training can be given
  • To work safely at all times and in line with Company and statutory safety requirements.
  • Driving licence with C1+E category
  • People with a full driving licence
  • Conform to all instructions stated in method statements and risk assessments.
  • City & Guilds 2339 (formally 2322)
  • People with experience (Work on Dead Networks, Live LV Working)
  • People with experience as a linesman.
  • NRSWA Operative
  • People who can interact with members of the public in a polite and courteous manner.
