Tasks

-Smooths and shapes surfaces of freshly poured concrete. -All employees, current and former, must maintain confidentiality by not disclosing to others any confidential, proprietary or trade secret information belonging to the Company. -Finishes concrete surfaces, and wets and rubs concrete with abrasive stone to finish. -Spreads concrete into inaccessible sections of forms with rake or shovel. -Complies with all applicable laws, regulations and Company policies and procedures, and is subject to appropriate disciplinary action (including dismissal) for failure to do so. -Operates all equipment and tools required to do each job which may include cement mixing machines, power trowels, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment, and other instruments. -Breaks up and repairs old concrete surfaces. -Directs subgrade work, mixing of concrete, and setting of forms. -Sprinkles colored stone chips, powdered steel, or coloring powder on concrete to produce prescribed finish. -Moves discharge chute of truck to direct concrete into forms. -Levels concrete to specified depth and workable consistency with handheld screen and floats to bring water to surface and produce soft topping. -Responsible and accountable for incumbent’s own personal safety. -Maintains equipment and tools to ensure long lasting use. -Mixes cement with hoe or concrete-mixing machine. -Removes rough or defective spots from concrete surfaces and patches holes with fresh concrete or epoxy compound. -Responsible and accountable for the safety of all co-workers and any others incumbent comes in contact with. -Reports any and all violations of applicable laws, regulations or Company policies and procedures promptly, and is subject to appropriate disciplinary action (including dismissal) for failure to do so. -Molds expansion joints and edges. -Produces rough concrete surface with broom. -Signals concrete truck driver to position vehicle to facilitate pouring concrete.
