Premzero Stress Analysis Engineer

Premtech Ltd

The Role

Overview

Pipework stress analysis and related engineering for clean energy pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • cfd simulation
  • stress analysis
  • finite element
  • fracture mechanics
  • fatigue assessment
  • graduate support

Tasks

Whilst the role is principally pipework stress analysis it will also involve some other types of analysis such as Finite Element Analysis (FEA) on components, fatigue studies, fracture mechanics, CFD, heat transfer and gas temperature decay analysis, and vibration analysis. -Carrying out CFD simulations for gas flows in pipework such as blending as well as dispersion and ventilation modelling. -Carrying out pipework stress analysis using CAESAR II software including: developing load cases, importing / developing models, resolving stress exceptions, informing the design process, and reporting results in a formal technical report. -Apply professional engineering principles, judgement, and innovative thinking to design solutions for pipeline and installation development. -Carrying out finite element analysis for pipework components. -Carrying out fracture mechanics assessments such as ASME B31.12 Option A and Option B assessments for hydrogen pipelines and CO2 pipeline running ductile fracture arrest assessments. -Carrying out fatigue assessments for pipework and pipelines. -Provide assistance and support to graduate / junior engineers.
