  • Under supervision, assists in the execution of design processes and analysis on assigned projects and requests assistance from technology staff when needed
  • Accompanies technology staff in client meetings and performing project job site visits to investigate field conditions and monitor progress based on design specifications, owner expectations, and building codes
  • Reads and interprets blueprints, specifications, schematics, and engineering reports
  • Observes and learns the information used by Technology Consultants to develop man-hour budgets
  • Learns how to communicate design requirements with contractors and equipment sales representatives to determine project scope and feasibility
  • Actively attends internal and external training and other educational opportunities to obtain knowledge in necessary technical areas
  • Assists the design team in the coordination of project designs with other disciplines to determine equipment needs, provide input for operating procedures, and provide technical information
  • Observes and learns the industry standards and practices of design analyses using industry software
  • Routinely produces designs using Revit and/or CADD

  • General knowledge and understanding of industry specific software (i.e., Revit and AutoCAD)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or relevant degree OR four years of relevant experience (e.g. design, application, and/or administration of low voltage systems)
  • General knowledge and understanding of technology systems
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Learns to understand industry standards, company technical policies and procedures, and technology systems during the execution of projects for clients
