The Role

Overview

Conduct site assessments, remediation, and groundwater management for contaminated sites.

Tasks

-Data analysis, including coordination with other staff members to prepare maps and figures using GIS/Environmental Visualization Software (EVS) applications, and database management. -Conduct fieldwork including multi-media environmental sampling, sediment sampling and characterization, drilling oversight, contractor oversight, and remediation system operations, maintenance, and construction. -Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed. -Review and manage written document production. -Prepare for and participate in meetings with clients, regulatory personnel, and other parties. -Task and project management, including planning and implementing investigation and remediation projects, budgeting and budget management, adherence to schedule, quality, client satisfaction, and profitability. -Consistent with our sell-manage-do business model, play a role supporting lead generation, business development, staff development, and mentoring. -Manage work to meet contract schedules, appropriate codes and regulations, regulatory compliance and/or enforcement and industry standard-of-care criteria. -Work plan development, data evaluation, and report writing. -Preparing technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals. -Management and mentoring of junior staff and managing subcontractors.

What You Bring

-Regular field work and overnight travel. (required) -At least 5 years of direct environmental consulting experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required) -Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed. (required) -Ability and interest in obtaining professional licensure (i.e., P.G. or P.E.) (preferred). -Experience with multi-disciplinary project teams. (required) -Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers. (preferred) -Excellent writing and communication skills. (required) -Bachelor’s degree in engineering, geology, environmental science, or related field. (required) -Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing may be required. -Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required) -Advanced degree in the same. (preferred)
