The Role
Overview
Oversee water construction projects from bid to closeout, ensuring schedule, budget & quality.

Tasks
-Manage project documentation, including RFI’s, submittals, plan changes (ASI’s, CCD’s, etc.). -Regularly visit jobsites to meet with clients and verify adherence to project documents and quality standards. -Coordinate with other support departments to identify and resolve project issues. -Regularly report project status to superiors and clients. -Effectively train and develop other team members. -Search out, contract with, negotiate with, and effectively manage a diverse group of subcontractors. -Manage all aspects of a construction project, including bidding, construction/operation, project close-out, and warranty. -Establish, monitor, and thoroughly understand project finances. -This role may occasionally require working in high, precarious places; near fumes or airborne particles; and handling toxic or caustic chemicals. There is also a risk of electrical shock and vibration in certain situations. -Interrupted frequently to meet the needs and requests of team members, and outside vendors. -Resolve prime contract and subcontract disputes. -Represent ESI as an ambassador to clientele, design teams, city officials, water districts, and subcontractors. -Generate, track, and maintain complex construction schedules.

What You Bring
-Adept at managing project documentation, including RFI’s, submittals, plan changes (ASI’s, CCD’s, etc.). -Confidence in navigating and understanding prime contracts. -Adherence to safety protocols and the ability to follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment guidelines, and company policies, are necessary for performing work safely and effectively. -Track record of on-time, within-budget, quality construction projects. -Skilled at problem solving; resilient and determined to find or create solutions. -Has at least five (5) years of industry experience. -Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to comprehend, simplify, and convey complex ideas clearly and concisely. -Current safety certifications, including OSHA 30-hour. -Strong management and interpersonal skills. -Bachelors of Science in Construction Management or Engineering. -Proficient in scheduling and tracking software tools such as MS Project, P6 (Primavera), and/or Suretrack. -Positive contribution to ESI’s culture and active participation in company events and programs. -Demonstrates leadership, integrity, perseverance, reliability, respect, self-discipline, dedication, and dependability. -Can successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously with contract values ranging from $1M to $15M each, or individual complex projects ranging from $10M to $40M. -Extensive knowledge of building construction, materials, means and methods, scheduling, project accounting and cost control procedures, general contract structure, general conditions, subcontract documents, construction drawings and specifications. -Possesses organizational skills and is detail oriented. -The ability to lift and/or move materials and tools is essential, with a maximum weight limit of 50lbs. These tasks may vary and are not required to be performed daily. -Able to delegate tasks and follow up to ensure successful completion. -Aptitude in training and developing other team members. -Can effectively search, navigate, and interpret contract documents. -Demonstrated the history of excellent customer service. -Ability to manage a team of people to achieve specific project requirements, including Project Engineers (PE), Assistant Project Managers (APM), and Project Coordinators (PC). -This position may require frequent travel by motor vehicle. -This position requires outdoor work, with exposure to various weather conditions. -SWPPP certification (desired). -Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. -Proficient with Microsoft Office suite programs; specifically, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project. -Competence in representing ESI as an ambassador to clientele, design teams, city officials, and subcontractors. -Working knowledge of DEQ, EPA, AWWA, and local utility design/construction standards -Exhibits high emotional intelligence. -The role may involve extended hours on construction sites, necessitating physical stamina to move around the premises. -Effective and professional communication and interaction with supervisors, employees, and others, whether individually or in a team environment, are vital aspects of the role. -General knowledge of LEED / Green Building principles and requirements.
