Tasks

-Mentor and train structural interns and EITs within the department and across business groups. -Coordinate workload through the design phases in order to complete the documents on schedule. -Independently coordinate the work of the structural design team from schematic design through the design development and contract document phases of a project. -Review structural documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines and resolve conflicts in a timely manner. -Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team (architecture, MEP engineering, civil engineering, etc.) to lead the production of the structural deliverables for projects. -Coordinate and assist with affected disciplines, with any addendum, change proposal requests and change orders, and incorporate agreedupon changes into the project documents. -Conduct design development and contract document work sessions at project site in conjunction with the Project Manager and other disciplines. -Perform construction administration (CA) tasks such as submittal review, respond to requests for information (RFI’s) and other coordination tasks with contractors in the field during construction. -Write and edit structural specifications, select procedures, materials and their respective sizes, and complete necessary calculations. -Establish meetings and participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance. -Analyze and design components of the superstructure for building projects.

What You Bring

-7 years’ structural engineering experience. -A minimum of 4 years’ structural engineering experience. -Experience with design of Health Care and Higher Education projects is strongly encouraged. #LIEH1 -Master’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or Architectural Engineering; Structural emphasis.
