Tasks

-Drive the process of new vendor registration on the system. -Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours. -Support the realization of the cost savings initiatives at local level in line with zone and global strategies. -Ensure the implementation and tracking of savings, performance indicators and achieved results. -Maintain the Integrity of spend classification and other PO requirements. -Direct business lines towards improved operational discipline in procurement processes (Buyways, eCatalogs, Pcard Policy and other). -Support and execute the procurement of goods and services in accordance with category strategies, as well as applicable policies, procedures, and specifications. -Identify procurement saving opportunities and initiate individual projects & initiatives at all operational levels. -Generate RFQ’s for low to medium spend in accordance with procurement policy in collaboration with operations and other stakeholders. -Create local purchase orders for supplies, equipment and services within authorized signature limits with pre-qualified suppliers.

What You Bring

-Required Work Experience: Two to five years in procurement role (sourcing, operations) with exposure to supply chain management, strategic sourcing and optimal procurement processes and standards, or equivalent experience. -Experience in aggregates, RMX or heavy industrial setting is an asset. -Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests. -Field of Study Preferred: Business Administration, Accounting. -Required Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of SAP, Microsoft office and Ariba. -Ability to deal with ambiguities, conflicts and adversarial relationships. -Travel Requirements: 10%. -Effective time management, planning and organization skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and drive tasks to completion in a fixed time-frame and in a pressured environment. -Demonstrated performance in working within cross-functional teams, with requisite drive and energy. -Education: Associates/Technical Degree is required, Bachelor’s/Undergraduate degree is a plus. -Ability to work with cross-functional teams and build relationships across multiple functions.
