Tasks

-Collaborate closely with Hubbell engineering and technical teams to gain consensus and implement sourcing strategies that support product innovation and lifecycle management -Work closely with cross-functional leadership to develop and maintain risk reducing strategies. -Lead sourcing initiatives that require deep technical engagement with suppliers and internal stakeholders. -Drive manufacturing changes with suppliers, ensuring alignment with Hubbell’s engineering and technical standards. -Generate and present project performance metrics to Leadership and project stakeholders. -Facilitate engineering-driven value change and value assessment to optimize cost, performance, and risk. -Lead sourcing and negotiations, implementation of agreements and integration of key suppliers, performance monitoring, ongoing supplier contract management for assigned commodities on an as needed basis. -Supervise and report on project strategies, supervising spend, business allocation, capability gap analysis and facilitate cross-functional review and evaluation. -Develop strategies for the mitigation of risk in the supply chain, overall and for specific new product programs. -Development of benchmarks and scorecards to be used for continuous improvement. -Management of business process outsourcing activities. -Manage direct reports in and across sourcing, contracting, supplier management, and miscellaneous internal procurement support activities. -Lead/Support supplier sourcing, evaluation and selection, negotiation, performance monitoring, relationship management, and continuous improvement in support of managed projects. -Development of organization strategy for aggregating commodity purchases and selecting competitive sources. -Identification, tracking and realization of cost-saving and cost-reduction opportunities. -Supply Chain Analysis -Creation and improvement of best-practice-based processes -Working with manufacturing engineering and program management teams. -Create risk rating system to prioritize projects. -Creation and management of short, mid, and long-term goals and objectives. -Organize and lead regular strategic supplier business reviews.

What You Bring

-Experience in negotiation internal and external to a matrixed corporate environment. -Familiarity of products, operational processes, and compliance requirements. -CPSM or APICS certification a plus. -BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering. -Proven ability to lead cross-functional technical discussions and influence engineering decisions.Experience in supplier development, cost modeling, and technical negotiations. -5-10 years validated experience or training/equivalent combination of education and experience. -Familiarity with design-to-cost, VA/VE, and DFM/A principles.
