Tasks
You will be functionally responsible for coordinating aviation safety objectives and implementing and maintaining aviation safety systems in accordance with legislative requirements. -Providing aviation safety training and support to employees and contractors. -Communicating effectively with all stakeholders to ensure understanding and compliance with WHS and aviation safety regulations onsite. -This role will also be responsible to undertake all ARO/WSO responsibilities. -Ensuring compliance with aviation laws and industry standards. -Managing aviation safety onsite. -Investigating aviation safety incidents and accidents and recommending corrective actions. -Attending Base management forums, airbase safety and environmental management meetings to discuss and resolve airbase management issues. -Working closely and collaborating with safety, performance and environmental stakeholders to align all WHS and aviation safety initiatives. -Assisting PAS Base Manager and TAL Supervisor proactively through daily coordination with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal trade personnel supporting AO. -Implementing and maintaining aviation policies and procedures onsite. -Conducting regular aviation safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments onsite including daily inspections and health, safety and environmental reporting. -Ensuring compliance with CASA and DASA aviation safety and certification requirements, including participation in annual auditing and inspection schedule.

What You Bring
You must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance. -CASA Radio Operators Certificate (AROC) preferred. -Experience in airside operations and proficient in air traffic control procedures and communications. -Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). -Effective in building relationships and managing conflict. -Ideally 3+ years of experience in a compliance role. -Aviation Security ID Card (preferred). -Current Aerodrome Reporting Officer (ARO), and Aerodrome Works Safety Officer (WSO) certification. -Proven ability to resolve complex issues autonomously.
