The Role

Overview

Manage end-to-end subsea pipeline projects, overseeing delivery, client relations, and improvements.

Tasks

-Take a proactive approach to problem solving, utilising the knowledge of the wider team where required. -Serve as the project primary point of contact for clients, managing all commercial, contractual, and technical deliverables. -Identify and mitigate project risks through proactive risk management and contingency planning. -Assume accountability and authority for all project execution phases drawing upon the support and coordination of internal group stakeholders such as engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, QHSE and production. -Full-cycle project management, including planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery within budget and on schedule. -Prepare internal and Customer weekly / monthly reports to update senior management and Customers, escalating high level issues where necessary. -Ensure all customer project documentation is in line with agreed document registers and milestone dates. -Support tendering and sales handover processes, ensuring smooth transitions and alignment with client expectations. -Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations, including QHSE standards. -Champion commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement across all project activities. -Prepare and deliver weekly/monthly reports to update clients and senior management on project status, risks, and achievements. -Engage in strategic discussions with senior leadership to align projects with broader organizational goals. -Establish strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear and consistent project communication. -Set and monitor project budgets, managing cost, revenue, and cash flow in collaboration with the finance team. -Collaborate on company-wide initiatives to improve project delivery and operational performance. -Perform all duties in compliance with existing legislation and company rules and procedures. -Engage in a culture of accountability and best practices, maintaining reputation for excellence in project delivery. -Engage in process improvement initiatives within the Projects department, fostering innovation and efficiency. -Involvement in regular assessments to ensure financial performance meets or exceeds project targets, supporting margin improvement initiatives. -Identify opportunities for margin improvement through cost out initiatives and customer variation order process where appropriate. -Ensure compliance with and actively promote the Company’s procedures and policies.

What You Bring

Part of this role may require travel to manufacturing sites across the UK and internationally. -Strong background in the offshore wind/oil& gas/construction industries. -Experience in all aspects of general Project Management gained through delivery of projects acting as main Project Manager. -Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. -Degree qualified in relevant technical subject. -QHSE emphasis and continuous improvement focused. -Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail. -Experience in multi-tasking across multiple live projects, while managing tight deadlines. -Professional Project Management qualification such as APM, or Prince 2. -Ability to demonstrate strong commercial, contractual and negotiation skills. -Experience of leading multi-disciplined project teams from project inception through to completion, covering key areas of tendering, engineering, supply chain, manufacture, commissioning, and offshore service. -Self-motivated and proactive. -Minimum 3 years’ experience in Project Management. -Knowledge and experience of the challenges and complexities of delivering projects within Subsea, Renewable Offshore environment or Marine Civils. Subsea technical knowledge would be an advantage.
