The Role

Overview

Conduct environmental incident response, investigations, sampling, and reporting.

Tasks

-Maintaining positive relationships with clients and interested parties, including ensuring a high standard of work and presentation; -Routine care maintenance and/or calibration of equipment and vehicles; -Preparing Health and Safety documentation, including method statements, risk assessments and site records; -Stock management; -Preparing cost proposals; -Monitoring and collating data from site works, including monitoring of in-situ remediation systems, air quality, and other parameters; -Organising, undertaking, and supervising site works; -Pro-active assessment of pollution risks to the environment and the application of a variety of techniques for containing and recovering oils or other contaminants of concern; -Maintaining accurate site notes, and excellent time management, organisational and communication skills at all times; -Undertaking Phase I and Phase II site investigations; -Soil, air and water sampling & logging; -Preparing factual and interpretative reports -Liaising with contractors, client and third parties;

What You Bring

-Enthusiasm and drive to deliver the requirements of this role; -Good literacy and reporting skills; -At least 2 years’ relevant industry experience; -A degree level qualification in an environment/land related subject. -Rapid response to environmental incidents in a variety of urban and rural settings; -CSCS card; -The ability to work as an effective member of a team and on your own initiative; -Although regionally focussed, there will be a need for travel to cover the needs of the business throughout England, Scotland, and Wales. -Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills; and, -Adherence to RSK Raw management systems, including site specific and point of work health & safety risk assessments and method statements; -Full UK/EC driving licence
