The Role

Overview

Senior automation & controls technician traveling to commission building automation systems.

Key Responsibilities

Tasks

-Calibrates systems requiring basic electronic test equipment -Performs advanced commissioning and system diagnostics from system-level controllers to end devices (such as: sensors, actuators, etc.) and completes all required commissioning documentation -Communicates with the JCI contractor or customer upon arrival and before leaving the work site -Completes administrative tasks including but not limited to time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation -Keeps management and JCI contractor or customer informed of job progress and issues -Documents changes and provides information for as-built documentation -Loads system-level controller software

What You Bring

-Advanced computer skills (Metasys preferred) -Follows all safety standards and attends required safety training. High degree of regard to employee and subcontractor safety. -Advanced knowledge of electrical testing and commissioning tools -Advanced knowledge of mechanical HVAC systems -Strong documentation acumen -Low voltage/120-volt wiring skills preferred -A valid driver’s license, with no major or frequent traffic violations -Good communication and listening skills
